1997 Guild "True American" DCE 1
My go to acoustic and first "real" guitar that I spent good money on. I bought this guitar in NYC at Sam Ash on 48th Street. One of the last ones built in the U.S.A in Rhode Island.
Notice the wear and tear around the pick guard - I played this guitar at every gig since I got it - it has never let me down.
2021 Martin SC-13e
I "needed" a new gigging guitar as my tried and true Guild was starting to show wear and tear. I did a lot of YouTube research and bought this from Sweetwater. Very light and plays well.
1994 Martin D-28
Purchased from Joe Marseglia in 2020. I have always wanted the iconic sound of a D-28 and this one does not disappoint. Joe put in a piezo pickup.
1974 Takamine 12 String
The guitars of this era were referred to as "law suit" guitars because Martin sued Takamine for copying their headstock.
I bough this guitar at the old MidPark Music at Southland in Middleburg Hts. Ohio.
2011 "Brownsville" Dobro (Chinese)
I needed a dobro for recording and bought this off the rack at Sam Ash. One day I'd love to get a quality one, but fo the time being this one does the trick.
Fender A-body Mandolin
My dear wife bought this for me on my birthday in 2002. It's one of those off the rack instruments that Sam Ash sells, but hey it really does the trick and sounds great on all of the recordings I've used it on.
